James Bond (MGM)

Six years ago was the last time we watched James Bond saving the world, and don't you think is time he appears again? The long-awaited 007 agent will be coming soon to theaters (we hope) and if you have been distracted by other things here we give you a tiny glimpse about what the next installment will be about. Daniel Craig is coming back for sure, but it is the last time as Bond, there are many rumors about the candidates but that's another story.

Due Coronavirus pandemic the film has been delayed but at last, a release date has arrived. September 30th in its native United Kingdom, and October 8th internationally. After the events of Spectre, dear James Bond is retired, hard to think right? But he is now away from the secret service and all the dangers, or that's what we would like to think. Felix Leiter, a friend, and ally of Bond approaches him with a hard, mysterious case to solve. Jeffrey Wright is portraying Felix Leiter by the way.

Reportedly, the film is 163 minutes long, making 'No Time to Die' the longest James Bond film ever. But we are not complaining, give us everything you have Mr. Bond! This movie is beating 'Spectre' by 13 minutes and is an hour longer than the shortest Bond film, Quantum Solace. Alongside the longest film, it is one of the most expensive films ever made, having a budget of around $200 million. It is worthy, we think.

Cary Joji Fukunaga is the one assigned as director, and we might recognize him for Jane Eyre, Maniac, and True Detective. If not, well, he also is the writer and producer of 'The Alienist' series and writer of 'It'. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are both producers here and they are so satisfied with Fukunaga's work, that they want the filmmaker back in the next one. But, who wrote this? Well, four people were in charge, Fukunaga itself was one of them, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and someone you surely recognize for her other works but we bet you are going to be surprised. No other than Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the Fleabag creator and actress.

Eon Production

The cast? You certainly remember  Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Rory Kinnear as part of MI6. But did you know that talented Ana de Armas will be joining them? And for a great story, we need a great villain and who better than the Oscar-Winner Rami Malek to incarnate such a Mysterious and evil character (named Safin)

As we said, This is the last movie where we will see Daniel Craig as the ever-gentleman James Bond, and for this, he was well paid. $25 million was the price, ten times more than the first Bond movie he made.

Young singer and star, Billie Eilish is the one who will deliver the track. She is the youngest one to create the song. In the past films, we have listened to Shirley Bassey, Madonna, Garbage, Sam Smith, Adele, Duran Duran, Tina Turner, Moby, and more.

Something else we are letting out? Well, you might remember the Bond films for the action but are you denying that the 'Bond Girls' are unnoticed? In this movie,  Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann is returning as the Bond Girl. This is a first since we have never seen a Bond Girl return. Some rumors have said that the next installment will change the gender of the agent and it is not completely untrue.  Lashana Lynch as MI6 agent Nomi will take the 007 name code. Of course, with James Bond enjoying his retirement, someone has to take it.
