Watch out, spoilers ahead! Before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released many fans were sharing wild theories on social media wondering who would be the characters appearing since, well, a multiverse was happening.

However, a few fan theories got it right since it was speculated that Charlize Theron was the one to portray Clea in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She does not appear in the film, but in case you missed her, she appears in one of the two post-credit scenes.

Now, for those starving fans who want more, the Oscar winner actress shared on her social media platform to her more than 6 million fans and followers a close-up of her make-up and a picture alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange while she is in full character too.

“Meet Clea. “ Theron simply captioned. Fans and friends of the actress left compliments on her comment section with a lot of messages of love for her new character. “ almost died when I saw you in the movie, welcome to the MCU!  “ said one fan while another added “I actually screamed when you came on screen, have been waiting years for you to do a project w marvel & am so excited to see what you do with Clea  “

Charlize Theron is playing Clea, who first appeared in Strange Tales #126, released in 1964. She is the daughter of the Dark Dimension’s prince and niece of Dormammu (who appeared in the first movie). At some point in the comics, she later becomes Stephen Strange's love interest and then, Sorcerer Supreme.

Before the look was revealed by Charlize Theron, screenwriter Michael Waldron talked about the character and the actress. “First off — Charlize Theron, holy shit!” he said. “We always knew we wanted to introduce Clea, who in the comics is, you could say, the great love of Doctor Strange but really in a lot of ways his formidable equal as a sorcerer herself. Her backstory is fascinating; she’s the niece of Dormammu, the giant floating head from the first movie.”

Waldron added: “[Doctor Strange and Clea] have a lot of great adventures in the comics, and we knew we wanted to introduce her. But it felt like we had to close the book, to some extent, on his love story with Christine Palmer – the Rachel McAdams character – and so Doctor Strange hears that wisdom from Christine to face his fears and be open to the idea of loving someone. And then along comes Clea, and I guess we’ll see what happens next between the two of them,” he added.
