'Those Who Wish Me Dead' has a short, simple synopsis but we do not need more to feel trapped in the story. The story follows “a smokejumper and a 12-year-old boy fight for their lives as two assassins pursue them through the wilderness.” Angelina Jolie revealed that her character, Hannah, is a very broken person who carries a great deal of guilt. “She is a bit broken, She's a smokejumper and a bit of an adrenaline junkie, but she's also somebody that has experienced tragedy, and she feels responsible for it."

About the reasons as to why she decided to play something so different from her previous roles, she declared that she es drawn to people who have been through something and are broken and then find their way forward and overcome it. And at this point, we are wondering if she is speaking only about her projects and not her personal life. "As an artist, it's very healing to play people like that. She's been very healing for me because you just get so broken and then you stand back up."

Angelina Jolie has starred in many action movies like Tom Raider, Mr & Mrs. Smith, The Tourist, and Salt. She also has been around in movies for a younger audience like Maleficent or Kung Fu Panda. Actually, it has been long ago since the actress starred in such an emotional film Girl, Interrupted in 2000 can be a good example) But about 'Those Who Wich me Dead', she revealed what differentiates it from her previous works, saying that it feels like a thriller, “a great adventure across an unusual terrain inside a great fire," she explains. "Underneath it, it's a really emotional film. It's about people who have a great impact on each other and change each other. Emotionally and practically, they go through the fire.”

She also said she was happy to be pushed to just toughen up and get dirty and sweaty, and do things “I've never done and feel very capable," It looks like Angelina Jolie is really enjoying herself. After all, she recently declared she had to stop dreaming about directing in films and instead had to return to work as an actress due to her separation from her former partner Brad Pitt. “I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation... I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more”
