The Marvel Cinematic Universe always has had rumors surrounding its movies and is no wonder, since nowadays it has become one of the greatest franchises in history with more than twenty films on its catalog. However, when talking about the upcoming movies, we do not know why but there is always the need to speak about the friendly neighborhood, Spider-Man.

Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland have been the actors who have worn the super-hero suit but Holland is the one in the MCU playing as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. While many fans have their own favorite version, rumors have been around since it was revealed that a new film was coming up: Spider-Man: No Way Home.

And as many have guessed since it is the obvious thing, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon are reprising their roles but what has been surprising for many was that Alfred Molina, who played Otto Octavius in Tobey Maguire's films will appear here. And if you think there is nothing 'shady' here let us tell you that Jamie Foxx, who played classic Spidey villain Electro in Andrew Garfield's films will also appear. With that in mind, fans are exaggeratedly speculating about Maguire and Garfield's return.

For the first time, Andrew Garfield addressed this in an episode of Josh Horowitz’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast. ”I did not get a call...I would’ve gotten a call by now. … But I don’t want to rule anything out. Maybe they want to call me! Maybe they’re going to call me and say, ‘People want this.’

The actor also revealed that he is in fact, a Twitter user but he is always undercover and he notices every time that 'Spiderman' is trending topic and really wishes to tell the fans they are so wrong. “I wish I could just speak to everyone and say, ‘I recommend that you chill,’” the Academy Award nominee said. “They might be doing something, but I ain’t got a call.” But alas, do you really believe him? “I feel like I’m in a game of f—king Werewolf, where I say ‘I’m not the werewolf, I promise you I am not.’ And everyone is like, ‘You’re the werewolf, it’s him!’” he added.

Tom Holland, who is well known for leaking information several times has declared that no, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will not be appearing in the film. “Unless they have hidden the most massive piece of information from me, which I think is too big of a secret for them to keep from me,” the actor, told Esquire earlier this year. “But as of yet, no. It’ll be a continuation of the Spider-Man movies that we’ve been making.”
