Pandemic has stopped many activities, movies included. Here we have all the films we were waiting for but have been delayed due to Coronavirus

.You have heard many of the films included in this list, but others may surprise you and make you feel sad to wait a little longer to watch them. It has been so long since we visited a movie theater but let's keep in mind that it is for our own security. It won't be forever of course since theaters are starting to open or some studios are moving their projects to streaming services. Delayed by the Coronavirus pandemic while on production or when starting, most of these movies are ready to be released. Take a look at our list to find out when your favorite movie will be out.


Columbia Pictures

Release date February 2022 (Original release July 2020)

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film stars Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, Sophia Taylor Ali, and Tati Gabrielle. Although many have compared the protagonist character to Indiana Jones, this movie is based on the Uncharted videogame series but with a younger Nathan Drake (Holland). A teaser trailer has not been revealed, but the Spider-man actor gave a little sneak peek at what we could expect. "It's Mark Wahlberg and myself. It's a prequel to the Naughty Dog game series, Uncharted. I play Nathan Drake. Ruben Fleischer is our director, and he did an amazing job. I'm really chuffed with it. It's fun, it's funny, it's epic. It's going to be really entertaining. The action sequences are some of the coolest sequences that I've ever done. So I'm super-excited about that."

The King's Man

This spy film directed by Matthew Vaughn is the third installment in the Kingsman film series and serves as a prequel. The cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance. This is the official description: "As a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King's Man." In this film we would see how the organization is founded while fighting against the Villain, a man called Rasputin (obviously based on the Russian advisor)

A Quiet Place Part II

Release date September 2021 (Original release: March 2020)

The sequel for the first installment delivered in 2018 is going to be released this year, Written and directed by John Krasinski, starring Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe reprising their roles while Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou are joining them. An official synopsis has been revealed. "Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path"

No Time to Die

Release date October 2021 (Original Release April 2020)

The twenty-fifth installment in the James Bond films is almost here. Daniel Craig has declared this is the last time he portrays the famous spy.  Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Rory Kinnear, and Ralph Fiennes reprise their roles from previous films, with Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, and David Dencik joining the cast as new characters. The plot? James Bond is retired but a curious but difficult mission makes him return.

Black Widow


Release date May 2021 (Original release May 2020)

Kevin Feige is a stubborn man. The president of Marvel Studios explicitly demanded to release this movie in theaters, Due to the pandemic it did not happen so he made us wait a year for it when it could be released on streaming via Disney+

Anyway, following the events of Captain America: Civil War. Natasha Romanoff finds herself alone and forced to confront a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Romanoff must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Directed by Cate Shortland and Scarlett Johansson replaying her role as Natasha Romanoff, we will watch other actors in this film like  Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz.

Top Gun: Maverick

Tom Cruise is invested in health security when months ago he yelled to his staff claiming they needed to take extra care with social distancing and wearing masks. As invested as he is, of course, he would delay his own movie. The upcoming action drama film directed by Joseph Kosinski, it's the sequel to 1986's Top Gun. Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer are included in the cast. Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise reprising their roles. Rumors said that Netflix wanted to buy the distribution rights but Paramount refused. We will have to wait for its theatrical release.

Free Guy

Release date May 2021 (Original Release July 2020)

Directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Taika Waititi we can expect a mix of action, drama, comedy, and science fiction. “A bank teller called Guy realizes he is a background character in an open world video game called Free City that will soon go offline.” Hard to imagine right? The official trailer has been revealed and honestly, it looks amazing.

Minions: The Rise of Gru


Release date July 2022 (Original release July 2020)

In dark times, a good laugh is what we need and this film promises it and more. The animated comedy film is the sequel to the spin-off prequel Minions released in 2016. Steve Carrell will give his voice again to Gru, the evil but sweet mastermind who in this film is 12 years old and growing in the mid of the 70s.

Jungle Cruise


Release date July 2021 (Original Release July 2020)

Based on the  Walt Disney's theme park attraction of the same name, Jungle Cruise is an adventure film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and  Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Édgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti are set to be in this movie.” Dr. Lily Houghton enlists the aid of wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff to take her down the Amazon in his ramshackle boat. Together, they search for an ancient tree that holds the power to heal -- a discovery that will change the future of medicine” The atmosphere looks a bit like the new Jumanji saga but we assure you, Jungle Cruise will be a whole new experience.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Release date June 2021 (Original release October 2020)

Sequel to the 2018 film `Venom' where Venom battles the evil Carnage. Based on Marvel Comics, the film is directed by Andy Serkis, Tom Hardy will reprise his role as Eddie Brock / Venom alongside  Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Naomie Harris. Although the movie is already here, not much information has been revealed.

Halloween Kills

Release date October 2021 (Original release October 2020)

And for the horror fans, this will be the twelfth installment in the Halloween saga. Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle are back, of course, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, and Charles Cyphers reprise their roles too from the 2018 and 1978 films. The plot? You already know it. Michael Myers needs to be defeated.

Death on the Nile

Kenneth Brannagh is directing and acting here so we already know this film will have us on the tip of our toes. Based on the novel of the same name by Agatha Christie, This mystery movie stars Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, and Letitia Wright. While Tom Bateman is reprising his role from the last movie. Brannagh was asked back in 2017 if he would direct more movie adaptations from Agatha Christie "I think there are possibilities, aren't there? With 66 books and short stories and plays, she — and she often brings people together in her own books actually, so innately — she enjoyed that," he says. "You feel as though there is a world — just like with Dickens, there's a complete world that she's created — certain kinds of characters who live in her world — that I think has real possibilities."

This is probably one of the most expected films ever. Directed by Denis Villeneuve the cast is pure gold.  Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.

This movie will be released theatrically but at the same time on the HBO Max streaming service. This is the first of two adaptations of the novel with the same name by author Frank Herbert.

The Batman

After so many versions of the superhero, people should be fed up, right? It appears it is not the case. Robert Pattinson is the one portraying a younger dark knight while director Matt Reeves is in charge.The official synopsis has been revealed. "Batman's origin story has been told many times before - if not in full detail, like Batman Begins, then in opening movie montages. Reeves has wisely decided not to do yet another origin story. The Batman will instead be set in Bruce Wayne's second year of having a secret life as the caped vigilante."
