If Regé-Jean Page stole your heart, you might probably burst right here since the rising star can now listen demonstrating to the fans that his talents are endless! The Bridgerton star is working on an audiobook and honestly, his voice just sounds like honey to our ears.
While Rege-Jean Page will be unforgettable as the Duke of Hastings in the successful Netflix series Bridgerton, the actor is not returning for season two, but that does not mean that he is stopping working. The actor is giving his voice to an audible adaptation of 'The Sandman Act II' created by Neil Gaiman.
The clip was shared on social media on the audiobook company and while it made most fans swoon, more impressive than that is that the actor is in fact, singing in Greek (For those of you who do not know, the actor is voicing Orpheus) “It turns out that Regé-Jean Page is not only an excellent actor and an outrageously good-looking chap, he also sings like an angel,” co-executive producer and director of the audio play Dirk Maggs says in the preview. “And I’ve got to say, it still sends shivers up my spine.”
Regé-Jean retweeted this and looked less than impressed by this. “Did @audible_com just drop my untreated stems?? Rude,” he tweeted with a crying laughter emoji. The company then replied to him “We’re just giving the fans what they want!”
Obviously said fans went wild resharing this clip. “He is checking all the boxes! Actor, singer, dancer…those Bridgerton waltzes were nothing to play with!) What’s next?? Goosebumps is an understatement!!” said a fan while another added “He has a very sensual voice that's soothing to the soul” (and we could not agree more)
According to Audible, the first installment was Amazon's best-selling original. After this, seasons 2 and 3 were announced and even a Netflix series. However, audiobooks will come first. Alongside Regé-Jean Page, the cast includes other stars that we bet you will recognize. Emma Corrin (The Crown) is joining the audiobook while David Tennant (Dr. Who, Broadchurch), Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter), Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex), and James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class, Split) Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls, Big Mouth) and Andy Serkis (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings) will be returning to the production.
"A literal dream come true.” Page shared on social media when his participation was announced “And in my wildest, I never dared imagine being in THE SANDMAN, playing one of my favorite characters, amongst as ridiculously powerful a cast as we have here… and yet! Here it is, and here we are. To sleep, perchance to Fiddler’s Green… I genuinely cannot wait to listen along with everyone."
