Years have passed and it appears that Jennifer Aniston is finally speaking a bit about her infamous divorce. Despite she just said a brief joke about it, it is quite meaningful since the Friends star never before joked about it publicly.
During the last episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jennifer Aniston made a special appearance, and while there the actress and the host talked a little bit about how Aniston became the first guest on the show and now, she is also becoming the last one after nearly twenty years.
At some point, Ellen asked how Aniston dealt with the ending of the famous sitcom Friends where she starred and the actress took the opportunity to joke about divorcing her ex Brad Pitt. "Well, I got a divorce and went into therapy,” she said.
Aniston then explained that after that she even made a movie, where the title was in sync with the situation. “Oh, and then I did a movie called, ‘The Break-Up,’” she continued. “I just kind of leaned into the end. I was like, 'You know what guys? Let's make this a completely new chapter... Let's just end everything and start new.'" The audience was laughing of course knowing that she was talking about Pitt "It worked great."
Elsewhere, Jennifer Aniston asked Ellen DeGeneres about her plans for the future now that she would not be working on the show, to which the host admitted that she wants to relax a bit until coming to work again. “I know that I want to just lay low for a little while. I want to rest,” she said. "And then I'll do something again but I don't know what it is."
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt's relationship was one of the most famous ones back in the day. Even worse, their divorce was also publicized but for the wrong reasons since the actor was moving on quickly with his new relationship with Angelina Jolie.
Anyway, more than a decade has passed and Aniston and Pitt are friends. A few glimpses of their friendship have been revealed throughout time making all the fans swoon over it. For example, both actors reunited for a Fast Times at Ridgemont High table read, and later Aniston talked about it.
"It was absolutely fun, Brad and I are buddies, we're friends," she said. "We speak, and there's no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be," Aniston added. "We had fun, and it was for a great cause, CORE."
