Most people could say that thanks to this quarantine, exercising or taking care of ourselves eating in a healthy way has not been an easy task with lockdowns and everything else. But if you were worried about this, apparently it happens to us all, even to great Hollywood celebrities.
Will Smith recently proved that it happened to him in one of his most recent posts on Instagram where his 53 million fans testified his looks. The American actor, who is well known for his roles where he shows off a fit and muscular body like Bad Boys, Suicide Squad, or even in Aladdin, is now sporting what we might call a dad-bod. It can be said that people can appreciate this gesture since many of us mere mortals are fretting over burning calories but due to pandemic probably it has been harder to achieve.
Wearing a pair of black shorts and an unzipped hoodie we could take a look at the actor. “I’m gonna be real wit yall – I’m in the worst shape of my life,” he captioned the snap gaining over 4.7 million reactions and more than 66,000 comments where fans and even other famous people flooded him with good-hearted comments.
“You’re Will Smith!! You can be in whatever shape you want,” British singer-songwriter Sonna Rele wrote. “You’re a real one for this,” YouTuber Casey Neistat wrote. “This is the most amazing post in the history of social media,” musician Questlove wrote. “Man! You have been in shape your whole life,” actor Guillermo Garcia wrote. “Enjoy the dad bod with pride! Let’s end… the carbs discrimination.” His former co-star from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Nia Long wrote what everyone thinks "You still got it, baby!!!"
However, we must no forget that Will Smith has been always an invested actor and that was no different in the 2016 film 'Suicide Squad' when he declared that when he was working out to get in the muscular and fit shape his character required, he tore a muscle, "When you're 47 years old, no injury is a mild injury anymore, I was stepping back to throw a blow, and my calf popped. Everyone heard it. The doctor there told me that I was going to be down for six weeks, but I couldn't allow that."
In the same interview, he revealed that throughout all his life he has taken care of what he eats in order to stay in shape “I couldn’t believe I got to 50 years old without knowing you literally are what you eat. I eat food like an addict. I love food, but I realized my relationship with food was I eat for fun. I eat for joy.”
We will get to see Will Smith soon since he has been busy working on his upcoming film 'Emancipation,' a drama based on a true story of a runaway slave in 1863 but sadly we may have to wait a little bit longer for its release since production was pulled out of Georgia due to the state's new voting restrictions.
