Happy news for everyone! American singer Mandy Moore is now a mom! Sweet baby boy August Harrison Goldsmith has born and her mom and dad, Taylor Goldsmith are thrilled about it. The actress and singer posted on her social media account about this beautiful event on February 23rd.
“Gus is here,” we can see a photo of the little one wearing a blue onesie. “Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined.”
We have been following Mandy Moore's road into motherhood through her online posts where she described all the struggles, symptoms, and problems while pregnant. “Poor Taylor. I was like, ‘Can you go outside and eat? I can’t look at food, I can’t smell food, I can’t think about food.’” She announced last September her pregnancy.
Later, Mandy Moore explained she does not enjoy drinking or smelling coffee anymore, wondering if she’d ever “enjoy coffee again.”
“It’s one of my major food aversions right now (and I know — probably for the best), but it makes me feel sad because I used to dream about coffee before bed,” the Emmy nominee explained in her Instagram Story at the time. “Coffee’s not the only one. … I had the worst food aversions, I still can’t think about some things or look at them in the fridge.”
Almost at the end of her pregnancy, she posted another picture where she explained plans changed. She wrote on her Instagram Story: 'Weekly platelet check at the hematologist. My platelets have dropped exponentially during pregnancy and it’s sadly altered my birth “plan”. Any other pregnant folk in the same boat?'
It's the first child for both Moore and Goldsmith, who sings and plays guitar in the California folk-rock band Dawes. Both were engaged back in 2017 and married in 2018. How did they meet? Well, she posted a photograph on Instagram. “I took a picture of their album and posted it on Instagram. Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me. We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history.”
"I'm definitely ready for motherhood sooner rather than later!" she said at the time. "I think that’s going to be the next chapter."
