Congratulations are in order! Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters has tied the knot for the fifth time and the rockstar is being happier than ever. The English songwriter shared the beautiful news on his social media where fans, friends, and followers wished him and the bride Kamilah Chavis the very best.
"I'm so happy, finally a keeper," he wrote alongside four snaps shared on Twitter to his more than 400k followers and on Insta to his almost million fans. In the pictures, we can see them smiling sweetly at the camera while on another they are standing looking at each other's eyes while their dog Sweet Georgia Brown is accompanying them. He is wearing a black suit while she is wearing a beautiful white gown with a black belt.
Behold, because the following pictures show them sharing a kiss and in the last one they are cutting the cake while they are in the kitchen. This is his fifth marriage and he was previously married to Laurie Durning from 2012 to 2015, Priscilla Phillips from 1993 to 2001 (they share a son, Jack), Carolyne Christe from 1976 to 1992 and (with whom he shares son Harry, who has followed his father into the music business, and their daughter India) and Judith Trim from 1969 to 1975.
Roger Waters and Kamilah Chavis dated for some time and back in 2018, the singer opened about his relationship with her. "Love is good, obviously. It requires maturing. If you have real love, it will surely last a long time. Because love is about giving, not receiving," he told the outlet.
He also revealed that they have spent some years together, detailing how he met her and what are the odds, just like a fairytale he met her at one of his concerts “We are not married, but we have been together for a couple of years. I met her at one of my concerts a couple of years ago. She worked in transportation. She was driving the car that was taking me.”
"I was in the same place for two weeks and we were being transported between the hotel and the stadium. My security guard would sit with her and they'd talk while I was in the back. I don't know, something attracted me," he recalled. "One day I said, 'Excuse me,' and she turned around. 'Did someone ever tell you that you have beautiful cheekbones?' I saw a small reaction, and that was the beginning." The news about Roger and Kamilah's engagement was reported by Page Six in August this year when apparently an insider heard Roger introduce his lady as his fiancée.
