Brad Pitt's latest movies include Babylon, a brief cameo in 'The Lost City', Ad Astra, and Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood for which he won several accolades. However, while he would no longer grace us with her appearance making fans swoon for him, the actor has been more active behind the camera as a producer.
The news about Brad Pitt retiring from acting was revealed by himself in an interview with GQ Magazine. “I consider myself on my last leg,” the actor said in the August 2022 GQ cover story. “This last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?”
Having said this, the actor also clarified that despite no one will be seeing him as a producer, he will be around for a very good reason. “I’m one of those creatures that speaks through art,” he continued. “I just want to always make. If I’m not making, I’m dying in some way.”
Unfortunately, no one could say that we did not see it coming. Since 2019 Brad Pitt has been hinting that he is retiring although at the time he clarified that he was not putting a deadline. He has put it out now.
"It'll be fewer and farther in between for me, just because I have other things I want to do now," Pitt told the New York Times back at the time. "When you feel like you've finally got your arms around something, then it’s time to go get your arms around something else."
Apparently, when he made this statement he was interested in landscaping and sculpture. Nevertheless, with his Plan B production company he has been truly thriving with acclaimed movies such as The King, Moonlight, and Minari.
The upcoming movies of Plan B Production include She Said, Women Talking, and Blonde, where Ana de Armas is portraying Marilyn Monroe.
