While it is not the first time Demi Lovato addresses their past romantic relationship with Wilmer Valderrama, this song appears to be the most explicit one slamming the actor for dating the singer when underage.
For those who have forgotten, Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama were in a relationship when they were 17 and 29 years old respectively. It was not unheard of celebrities dating having a big age gap but now that Demi has reached the same age as Wilmer when they started dating, it looks like a new perspective has downed on them.

The song not so subtly dedicated to Wilmer Valderrama is included in Demi Lovato's album "HOLY FVCK." Titled '29', an extract of the song was heard while Lovato was hosting a Discord listening party.
Fortunately for everyone, fans who were at the listening party recorded it and started doing clips showing pictures of the couple in their golden years leaving no doubt that she is referring to Wilmer Valderrama.
"Too young to drink wine, Just 5 years of bleeders." Lovato is heard singing while a picture of Demi being a teenage girl was shown. "What the f---'s consent, Numbers told you not to / But that didn't stop you." the song continues implying the scrutiny they faced when starting the relationship due to the age gap.
"Finally 29," the singer continues "Funny just like you were at the time." "Thought it was just a teenage dream / Just a fantasy / But was it yours or was it mine?" the song continues, ending with the incriminating number of their ages"17. 29."

While this is not the first rumored song about Wilmer Valderrama, it certainly sounds like a closure for the star. Previous songs that Demi Lovato has hinted are about him include, Tell Me You Love Me, Heart Attack, Really Don't Care, I love Me, and Unbroken.
About 'Tell Me You Love Me' Demi said that they were going throw a breakup at the time, which coincidentally is the same time Wilmer Valderrama was in their life. “The first time I heard it, it really stuck with me because at the time I was going through a breakup…It’s about the vulnerability of coming out of a very serious relationship and having a tough time with it,” Lovato said per Cheatsheet.
About 'Really Don't Care' they said almost the same although at the time they were back with the actor. “When I originally wrote it, it was a breakup song,” Lovato told E! News. “But now I have sung it so many times that it kind of no longer has a significance in that sort of way.” This indicates that it began as a song about Valderrama, but when they got back together, it took on another meaning.”
