Mexican actress and singer Danna Paola, who is considered one of the young icons of Latin Pop has been nominated for the 22nd Latin Grammy. This is her first nomination for her most recent album K.O and she reveals in a recent interview that she could not be happier about this amazing turn of events.
Danna Paola spoke in a recent interview with People and there she talked about her music and said that despite English is not her native language, she really thinks that language should not be a barrier when talking about music. "I think that today, music has no language, no gender, and I think that the Spanish language has really formed a culture shock that's very important," Danna Paola declares, mentioning that because of this, her career has no limits.

She also comments that Spanish, which is her first language, is not a barrier but a way to connect with more people around the world. "So it's incredible that today, the Spanish language isn't a barrier in music, in performing and is making the crossover all over the world. For me, it's something really natural," she continued.
This should not come as a surprise, but Paola admits that Madonna, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Britney are the singers who have inspired her since she was young. "I think that there's a lot of inspiration behind me and the process [of finding my sound] has been hard, but I think my identity as a singer is very clear now," the singer adds.
Danna Paola, who is who is 26 years old, declares that being nominated for a Grammy has always been a dream for her and now that she accomplished it, she is very proud because she put a lot of work into the album. "This is something that's been on my bucket list for life., and it's turned into a dream come true completely. It was an album that took two years of work," Danna said. "For me, it's a huge achievement in my career, of course as a singer and as a human being with a huge motivation to keep sharing my music," she continued.
Danna Paola, who started as an actress and later turned into a singer, revealed that it was really hard for her to leave her acting career behind but she really wanted to focus on doing what she truly loves, which is music. "Realistically, I got much closer to myself as a singer, developing that part of myself that I felt was a little bit lost," she says. "I never really felt like I got to be fully myself as an actor."
