She might be one of the greatest and most beloved actresses in Hollywood, but Salma Hayek is not forgetting her roots. In a recent interview with Vogue Mexico, the Desperado star alongside her daughter Valentina Pinault revealed what they carry inside their bags, and truly, it was surprising all the things the actress has with her all the time.
Less is more? Forget about it because Salma Hayek is certainly carrying a lot of things with her. However, one of the most surprising artifacts she is carrying will certainly make you feel like you are Mexican too.
So, long story short, among the items she mentioned, Salma Hayek revealed that she always carries chili powder to add it to whatever food she deems it is needed.
But first things first. The item that opened this conversation was an iPad with a painting made by Valentina. The second thing that appears was snacks and chocolate. “I can't go out without it,” said the actress.
She also revealed that the chocolate is named “Diana” like her mother admitting that was the reason why she first bought it but later became addicted to it because its rose flavor. “You can feel the petals, it's delicious.” For a very weird reason, Salma also revealed that she has in her bag snacks for the dogs because “you never know.”
Inside her bag, a mini-bag was then unveiled carrying some beauty products like wipes for when your hair is frizzy and lip gloss because her lips get really dry “it must be because I talk a lot” said Salma.
Despite the snack section being shown already, Salma Hayek then showed the audience that she is always carrying chili powder. “You are not going to believe what I have here...Chilli powder, because I travel a lot and in many places, and people o not understand that you can't eat without chili”
Her daughter, who appears to know very well her mom, added that Salma even adds chili to her drinks. “Yes, I put it in alcohol,” says Salma. “If it's a Margarita without chili, I grab it and put it in our Margarita.”
Salma Hayek then adds that chili goes well with every food y can think of, despite it may sound strange to those who do not like it. “It goes with everything, you can put chili in a lemonade, why not?”
Among other items Salma added that she carries a rose oil, Altoids, and her Palo Santo because if she is feeling bad vibes she lights it and starts spreading it.
