The Kardashian-Jenner clan is nowadays well-known for their show 'Keeping up With The Kardashians' where we got to learn more about their happy moments, their fights, and their struggles. However, what most people do not know is that Khloe Kardashian was battling herself during those early days because she had a really bad relationship with her eating habits.
In a recent interview with Health, Khloé Kardashian admits that her relationship with food has not always been easy and that when she used to eat something that she deemed 'not healthy' she would punish herself. "When I was younger and was sad, I would eat — I was an emotional eater. And then I hated the way I felt after that. I was almost punishing myself for binging or having a bag of chips — it just became so much thought."
At the time she was doing this, she thought that the best way to achieve results was to go on a diet every day but she was never successful. In fact, the media personality admits that she tried every diet under the sun, even the ones that were being on-trend thanks to other famous people. "Remember when Beyoncé did that lemon juice and cayenne pepper thing? I was like, sign me up! That's why I yo-yoed my entire life — I was always chasing some fad."
It was until 2015 when the real change came into her mind and instead of only dieting, she started doing workout routines in order to stay healthy. When I started working out, I decided to make some lifestyle changes. So I'd say, for example, this week I am just going to do one thing — I'm just going to cut out sugar. Then, maybe I'd try to do it for a month. After that, I'd try to incorporate another healthy change,"
She calls it a cliche, but she reveals to the outlet that everything has to do with body, mind, and soul. If that combo is not aligned, nothing would work, noting that in the end, she realized that is not about being in shape but instead, of maintaining herself healthy. "I have to think of it as a lifestyle rather than thinking I want to try this diet or some other thing someone was talking about. I'm so over that stage in my life. ou can tell when someone is genuinely happy from the inside out."
In the same interview, Khloé Kardashian also admits that all these experiences have shaped her and now thanks to them she is helping her daughter True to learn how to take care of herself in a positive way. “I had so many issues. It wasn't from one person, I guess just from society or how people critiqued my body. So, I don't play when it comes to True.”
