Nowadays, blended families are the rule almost everywhere for the sake of the kids. Having said this, it should not come as a surprise that now that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are together again and soon to be married, her two kids and his three kids are making their best to get along.
For those unversed, Jennifer Lopez welcomed twins Max and Emme on February 22, 2008. At the time, J.Lo was married to Marc Anthony but later divorced in 2014. Despite this, the kids have always had a close relationship with their father, and more often than not they are spotted having some quality time with him.

However, the custody appears to be on Jennifer Lopez's side because most of the time Max and Emme are with their mom, making fans wonder how Jennifer Lopez handles motherhood.
While we all know that moms can be scary sometimes, it sounds like the coolest thing in the world to have Jennifer Lopez as your mother, however, she is no exception and applies rules to their kids to follow.
While Jennifer Lopez does not consider herself a strict mom, the singer has admitted that Emme and Max have a golden rule they must follow every day. Because the singer has a lot of work between her concerts and her movies, she does not have a lot of time, so when she was at home she realized that the kids were spending a lot of time instead of spending some quality time together.
The solution? They have a schedule for their devices. "I've got to get them off those electronics for the rest of the day. I let them have them in the morning on the weekends but then I've gotta snatch 'em."
However, Jennifer Lopez has also talked about how she can't be strict at all with them since she realized that they were not happy with her working most of the time. "You thought you were doing OK, but you're rushing around and you're working and they're going to school and we're all on our devices," she said to WSJ.
"We're providing this awesome life for them, but at the same time, they need us. They need us in a different way. We have to slow down and we have to connect more. And, you know, I don't want to miss things. And I realized, 'God. I would have missed that if I wasn't here today.'"
Despite this rule and not being strict at all, it appears that a different story comes when speaking about J.Lo's own mom because according to the singer her mom used to ‘beat the s–t’ out of h“My mother did what she had to do to survive, and it made her strong, but it also made her tough, She beat the s–t out of you.”
