After giving birth to her second child, Scarlett Johansson has finally returned to the red carpet and as usual, she left everyone speechless with her beauty and charm, but also she talked about several things included her kids and her upcoming movies, including a secret project.
ScarJo attended the 2021 American Cinematheque Gala where she was honored with the evening's titular American Cinematheque Award, and to mark the first outing after giving birth and after COVID, she impressed us all wearing a spectacular white Versace suit over a crystal-covered corset Her make-up was very light and her hair was made into an elegant bun.
While walking down the red carpet she revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she has been staying at home with her husband Colin Jost and enjoying their family. “I feel very fortunate that I’ve been able to take this time to really enjoy the early stages of my motherhood with our son,” she said. “It’s been wonderful. I’m in a ‘baby bliss bubble.'”
It really was a big night for Scarlett Johansson since the American Cinematheque Awards honors those who have made significant contributions to the film industry. Among those who were there with her, in presence and virtually, were Jon Favreau, Thomasin McKenzie, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Lee Curtis, Marvel chief Kevin Feige, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Sam Rockwell, and Jeremy Renner.
In fact, Kevin Feige surprisingly announced that he and ScarJo will team up again for a “top-secret Marvel Studios project” that will not be related to her Black Widow character, who was killed off in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
In case you need to remember, her most important decision in the industry was to sue Disney earlier this year because the company had a breach of its contract. Everything happened at the same time. The release of her Marvel movie 'Black Widow' the birth of her child and then the suing, however, Johansson found time for everything.
"It was a very surreal time because, of course, the film had come out and was hugely successful and that was a big celebration. I had a baby and that was obviously a life-changing, amazing, celebratory thing," she told The Hollywood Reporter adding that she was really happy that no one else in the industry will have to go through what she went through.
Later, she also revealed to Extra that she could not believe all the events that happened to her this year and that despite she was being honored for her almost 30 years-long acting career, she could not figure out that it was something happening to her.
“I’m still taking it all in. It’s a lot to process… I never think about my entire body of work because I’m still doing it… I’m very happy to be a working actor. I’m incredibly fortunate to have worked with some of my favorite filmmakers and actors… It’s still a dream every time I walk on the set. I absolutely love what I do.”
