While one is a comedian and the other is a singer, have you ever thought about them together? Well, it appears that Rebel Wilson made it happen because her latest Netflix movie is channeling Britney Spears in one of the scenes that promise to be one of the most epic ones because it will bring all the nostalgia.

Directed by Alex Hardcastle, 'Senior Year' brings the story of a “37-year-old woman who wakes up from a 20-year coma and returns to the high school where she was once a popular cheerleader."

Who better to bring out the cheerleader vibes than the Princess of Pop songs? In one of the scenes, Rebel Wilson channeled Britney Spears by recreating her 'Crazy' music video. However, before doing this the 'Cats' star revealed that she had to do something first.

"We had to get Britney's permission,” said Revel to ET. “I was really nervous [thinking], 'Oh my gosh, I hope she knows we're [paying] homage to her with this,'" Wilson told ET. "It was really awesome that she gave permission to do it... 'Crazy' was just such a cool song, such an iconic video clip... I just thought that would be really cool."

Rebel also gave details about what transcurred on set and detailed that for the scene, the same exact set from the music video was done. "We recreated that exact set," she added. "What was weird is I didn't really practice that much. When I shot it, I tried to just channel Britney, and then immediately our director, Alex Hardcastle was like, 'Oh my God, you were, like, so Britney.'

As for why Rebel Wilson asked for permission, let's not forget that after being freed from the conservatorship, Britney Spears has been slamming people around, including her sister, for profiting from her songs so what Rebel did was the best thing to do.

During the interview, she added. “In certain takes, I really just believed I was her. It comes out really funny... That was our last day of shooting and it was like 110 degrees in Atlanta, but once they pump that Britney music I just wanted to give it my all."

Later, in an interview with Los Angeles Times, Rebel Wilson admitted that she just wanted Britney to love the film. “I love Britney and so does my character in the film, check out our Crazy music video. It’s sick. It’s good. I just loved it, and I love Britney, so I’m sending her lots of love and I hope she likes it. She’s the only person I care about,” she added.
