A new video shared by Miley Cyrus on social media, has sent her fans and followers into a frenzy. The 28 year old singer, took it to Instagram to share an eye-catching clip of herself, in which we can see her from the neck down as she leaned forward and back, while rocking a stunning black one-piece thong swimsuit. Before the clip ends, we can see the singer takes a moment to adjust the side straps of her garment.
Miley's post consisted in a provocative video, but she also added a promotional pink photo of the singer in front of a microphone; an image that seems to illustrate perfectly what will be her upcoming gig at Summerfest. The musical festival is expected to take place in september 17, at the American Family Insurance Ampitheater, in Milwaukee; the image not only displays her name above her picture, but it announces that Kid Laroi will be a part of the aforementioned festival.
The singer went full on with promoting her gig, that she also added another post in the form of an Instagram story. Cyrus shared a cheeky photo of her back while sporting the sexy swimsuit. She went on to caption the photo by writing “Y'all reallly scarred me w/that turkey b*ttsh*t,” which was a clear reference to her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards show, way back in 2013. Then, the singer opted for a flesh-colored bikini for her show, which caused that viewers compared her to a turkey because of her outfit choice and her twerking moves.
According to the singer, these comments really affected her, as she couldn't wear shorts for about two or three years after her infamous performance. Last year, Miley spoke about this experience during an Instagram Live. “All this sh*t because after the VMAs, where I had on my cute little nude bodysuit, everyone started comparing me to a turkey and putting a turkey in my outfit,” the singer explained.
Miley went on to say that she was skinny and pasty, and she felt so bad on herself that she couldn't wear a bikini for two years. She then added that it was really hurtful to be so body-shamed like that. “It really affected me in my personal life.” Additionally, the singer also said that at the time she was just starting to understand herself as an independent person, which definitely made things more difficult.
Back then, nobody would have believed that she was affected by what others had to say. But she admits that having a persona of being super confident was a mere fraud. She discovered that she was ultimately so insecure inside. “When I was wearing my little leotards and things, I had on f---king four pair of tights because I was so insecure,” she said.
