We now know how it all started. Kylie Jenner went on to confess how her insecurities about her lips spawned earlier when she was young. According to the billionaire reality tv star, it all goes back to when she started her dating life, when a gentleman caller made a teeny-tiny critique of her lips. And ultimately thanks to that, Kylie went on to build an enormous cosmetics empire.
As part of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion, hosted by Andy Cohen, the Kylie Cosmetics founder went on to openly discuss these topics, confirming to Cohen that it was during her time going out with some boys, especially when kissing them, that spurred her obsession with makeup in the first place.
“My love for makeup started with my insecurity with my lips. I had really small lips and I didn't ever think about it until I had one of my first kisses and a guy said to me: 'Oh my god, you're such a good kisser but you have such small lips', or something like that”. This came as a surprise to the other members of the KarJenner clan, who were also attending the show, like her mom, Kendall Jenner, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian.
From then on, she admitted, she felt “unkissable”. She revealed to had had an insecurity because the guy said something to her one time. Then, she started to develop a particular obsession with makeup, because from that moment on she would start to overline her lips and that, she confesses, would just make her feel more confident.
Even though she didn't exactly detailed her decision to get lip fillers, this is probably the reason why, as she admitted before, began to get “temporary” lip injections in order to plump her pout a bit more. Kylie is known for being the youngest self-made billionaire, a title she went on to receive from Forbes two years in a row.
When Kylie was valued at $1.2 billion, Jenner was 22 years old. Then, the reality tv star decided to sell 51% of Kylie Cosmetics to beauty company Coty Inc. For $600 million. In the show, when she was asked how she felt about the title given by the outlet, she humbly said it's not something she pays much attention to. “I don't wake up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror, like, 'Good morning, self-made billionaire.' But, I mean... yeah, it's amazing,” she pointed out.
Kylie also addressed a fan's question about why Travis Scott rarely appeared on 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians'. She went on to say “I don't know. I guess he just sometimes he didn't want to be filmed. I never pressured him to be on the show,” the reality star mentioned.
