Kristen Stewart is shining with her own light! The American actress has been on the headlines recently thanks to her superb portrayal of the late Princess Diana in the upcoming movie 'Spencer' directed by Pablo Larrain. The movie itself has garnered positive comments only and because of this, the rumor around about Kristen earning Oscar nominations is more than possible.
While Kristen Stewart has spoken in several interviews to promote the movie and speak about her experience when filming and embracing Lady Di's story, but in a recent talk she had with The Daily Mail, it surprised us all that she declared that she has a regret when portraying the beloved princess.
“I’m not a mum yet,” she said, later adding, “I need that to feel authentic…. It’s the one part of playing her that I felt disloyal about.” the actress revealed. In 'Spencer,' the story is set on the specific weekend when Diana decided to divorce Prince Charles since their marriage was falling apart. In fact, in the trailer, we saw her crying in bed while her young sons are by her side. (Jackie Nielen plays Prince William, and Freddie Spry stars as Prince Harry).
In the interview, Stewart also reveals that she spent a lot of time with Freddie and Jackie on set because the director really wanted them to become "a three-headed animal in a bubble." adding that she believes Princess Diana was untouchable when she was with Harry and William. "She's like this feral animal you wouldn't dare accost," Kristen says.
This is not the first time Kristen Stewart uses the word 'feral' to describe Princess Diana. In a previous interview with Los Angeles Times she declared that when watching Lady Di's pictures and interviews, it was like a 'feral cat' emotion.
"In any picture or interview I've ever seen of her, there's an explosive, ground-shaking quality to her that I always feel like you never really know what's going to happen. Even when she's walking the red carpet, it just feels a little bit scary," she said. "That could be projection because we all know what happened. But she just has this feral cat feel. So I wanted to convey that. There's no way to plan chaos. You just have to fall into it."
Stewart also noted that Diana was a huge contradiction, the weirdest combination of things that don't necessarily go together all the time. And even went as far as comparing her to Mr. Rogers. "It would've been easy to make her kind of perfect and it's so fun to martyr her because she's beautiful and just wanted people to be happy. She's like Mister Rogers,"
