Katy Perry decided to open up about her relationship with Orlando Bloom, amid certain rumors that surfaced pointing out that the couple have broken off their engagement recently. However, it seems that the singer is telling a completely different story.
It’s been months now, since the American Idol judge was spotted wearing her engagement ring for the last time. This obviously led to several people speculating about her relationship and left many people wondering whether there might be trouble in paradise between her and the actor.
Not only that, but another thing that raised eyebrows among fans and followers was the fact that the ‘Roar’ singer arrived solo at the Met Gala, despite that the lavish event has been a popular destination for couples to flaunt their style, as well as their other half on the red carpet.

Regardless the wave of rumors swirling around on the internet, the ‘Last Friday Night’ singer made an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s podcast titled ‘Dear Chelsea’ and decided to open up and end these rumors once and for all. Not only that, but she also delved deep into the issues in their relationship and how they’re overcoming them.
First of all, she made it very clear that the duo has not broken. However, she also revealed that they are not immune to struggles by admitting that:
“Your partners usually see your best and your worst sides because they are there to be your mirrors.”
Certainly, it seems like they’ve been seeing a lot of each other’s worst sides, since they’ve decided to begin sessions in couples therapy in order to better process their frustrations, she continued:
“Orlando and I do couples therapy. We love it because it just keeps us in tune.”
Aside from this revelation, the “I Kissed A Girl” singer also told what are the things they are even fighting about.
Even though they’ve always seemed so loved up and carefree online, turns out that their super busy schedules on top of parenting their 1-year-old daughter Daisy Dove have left them both feeling resentful of the other, as per what the 37-year-old recalled:
“The resentment can get really strong when you’re both working really hard. God bless successful people in the spotlight. When you want to come back to being normal in a domesticated world where you have a child and stuff like that, you have to really learn how to be kinda different out there, in the big and the small. So, we’ve had a lot of success with that.”
This is not the first time the couple has put in the world to better themselves for the sake of their relationship. In case you don’t remember, Katy Perry previously shared that she went to a retreat center called ‘The Hoffman Process’ where people have no access to phones and work on building relationships with others.
