Move on Regé-Jean! We have a new heartthrob in town! Actor John Boyega, who you may remember in films like Star Wars, Pacific Rim: Uprising, and The Circle, has revealed that he is really interested and he will not deny that he wants to be part of certain Netflix project we all know.

In a recent interview with ET, John Boyega detailed why he is the perfect choice to be part of the Netflix acclaimed series 'Bridgerton' or maybe, in another similar series. "I think it might not be that show, but I think I definitely have a future in wearing high boots and hats, and speaking more of a pronounced pronunciation," the actor expressed. "That is definitely in my future." However, Boyega knows that just because the costume suits him he should be chosen, and adds what other special skills he has that could work in a series like this. I am a horse rider too so, c'mon man," he added, sharing how he learned to horsehide "specifically for The Rise of Skywalker because those horses that we rode at the end, we needed to learn. So, you know, some horse riding, a little bit of charm, c'mon!"

In fact, this is not the first time John Boyega talks about Bridgerton. Earlier this year when he took part in a roundtable alongside Regé-Jean Page, who rose to fame as Simon Bassett, the Duke of Hastings in the first season of Bridgerton, he was asked what Hollywood role he would love to play and John replied without hesitation.  ‘I’m trying to get that Bridgerton money, man. I need to wear them skin tights. I need to be the new guy up in there.’

Earlier this month, Bridgerton creator Chris Van Dusen confirmed that the drama had resumed filming for season two after the production had to be shut down due to a positive Covid-19 test. Speaking to Variety, Chris said: ‘We are back underway. We had to delay because of Covid, but we’re back in it. Right now I’m in post [production], editing our first couple episodes, which are looking great.’ We know that Regé-Jean Page is not returning for the second season but Phoebe Dynevor will be reprising her role as Daphne Bridgerton.

Anyway, fans will get to see John Boyega in his newest film 'Naked Singularity' where he plays a fed-up public defender who teams up with a scheming criminal, played by Olivia Cooke, to pull off a drug heist worth millions. "I wanted to play a guy that represented the bridge between the working man and the system in itself, and somebody that actually continues to see people that basically get sent into the meat grinder," the actor said, explaining why he was attracted to a film like this"And that for me really intrigued me. Somebody that's in that system, especially this job specifically as a public defender, and then deciding, 'You know what? The justice system doesn't work for me.' In fact, then believes in the notion that perhaps the justice system is wrong entirely and that's something that made me go, 'Oh, this is interesting.'"
