While promoting her Netflix film 'Don't Look Up' Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that there was someone in the film that made her start fangirling all the time.
In fact, the 'Don't Look Up' cast s quite impressive, and looks like Netflix did not have any restriction on their budget since they not only added Jennifer Lawrence but also Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Timothee Chalamet, Jonah Hill, and last but not least Ariana Grande.
During an event for BAFTA voters at the Harmony Gold Theatre, and according to Variety, Jennifer Lawrence revealed that she was starstruck when meeting Ariana Grande. “She can’t make bad music. I’ve since reflected on my behavior with Ariana Grande. I went full radio contest winner. I was so excited and nervous that at one point, I just kind of walked into her hotel room and sat down. I’ve just been thinking about it a lot lately. There were all of these trunks for her hair and makeup, and I was like, ‘Do you live here?'”
Let's remember that Jennifer Lawrence has won several awards throughout her career and has worked with many A-list celebs like Robert DeNiro, and still, the actress will not change her mind that meeting Ariana is the best. (And we concur)
In fact, this is not the first time that Jennifer Lawrence gushes about meeting Ariana Grande. In a previous interview with Vanity Fair, she revealed that Ariana Grande “plays a pop star named Riley Bina. And that was, like, one of the coolest days of my life. I took a picture with her—I looked like a radio contest winner. She couldn’t be nicer.”
Ariana Grande not only has a small role in her but also sings alongside Kid Cudi, who also appears in the movie. In fact, their song 'Just Look Up' was nominated at Hollywood Music in Media Awards for onscreen performance. Both Grande and Cudi have writing credits for the song, in addition to Nicholas Britell and Taura Stinson.
This song also marks the first time that Ariana and Kid Cudi collab. Most recently, Grande released her October 2020 album Positions, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Cudi’s Man on the Moon III: The Chosen was released in December 2020 and charted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
'Don't Look Up' is Ariana's first performance on the big screen, although she has appeared in several shows on TV. Her debut on-screen came back in 2008 in a Broadway musical called 13 and then she jumped into Nickelodeon's and joined Victorious and Sam & Cat. Later she was cast as Penny Pingleton in NBC's Hairspray Live! And more recently, it was announced that she will be playing Glinda in the upcoming live-action Wicked movie
