Jennifer Aniston caused a stir online, after appearing on a British TV Show, in which she was in the middle of a very awkward interview, when the host made her visibly upset by clumsily interrupting her comments and accusing her of not being a morning person.
The Friends alum, who is 52 years old and who also didn't make friends with this guy, was on “The One Show” this week, discussing what it was like coming back to the set of her AppleTV+ drama, “The Morning Show.” The series, in which Reese Witherspoon is the co-star, will debut its second season. Suddenly, as she was revealing her feelings about coming back to work amidst the pandemic, she got cut off by presenter Jermaine Jenas.
People online started to point out the look Jennifer Aniston gave him when he asked the question; a look that everybody agreed could have stopped a clock. Instantly, a debate started on social media, with people saying that the 38-years-old actress whether overreacted to the aforementioned inquisition, or not.
The cringe-fest, as some media has dubbed the interview, started with both Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon making a remote appearance on the chat program, and opened up about what it was like to film scenes in the early-bird hours of the morning. Specially pointing out how early a pivotal show like the protagonist of her drama series starts to get in motion, in order to appear on-screen, on time.
Aniston went on to say that “I learned the slow burn that it is. It's a very vampire state of life and mind that you guys live in. Everybody comes alive in the middle of the night, and it's a slow-moving train.” She continued,”I got there at 5 in the morning and the hallways were quiet and people are just slowly waking up, and then all of a sudden, the train starts moving and it gets crazier and crazier. It's utter chaos.” This is the exact moment in which Aniston gets interrupted by Jenas, who immediately insinuates that Aniston doesn't like to get up early.
“Reese, I've got to be honest with you, Jennifer's pretty much sold it to me that she's not a morning person,” he said. Anniston appeared stunned at his comment. “Did I sell that to you?” Aniston asks uncomfortably, to which Jenas responded: “A little bit, a little bit.” Then, the actress snapped back, “Did I get a good deal?” After that, Jenas tried to move forward with his conversation with Witherspoon.
On Twitter, the debate got heated, as some people online started to point out Aniston's reaction the question. “Did anyone else catch Jennifer Anniston's [sic] negative reaction to the male presenter regarding the morning person bit? Awkward,” wrote someone, while another added, “Jennifer Anniston's [sic] 'tude in this interview is cringe. She keeps on looking to the side awkward #theoneshow.”
