How To Watch The Online Ariana Grande Concert In Fortnite – Release dates and times

There will be five events in total, which are totally free to view as long as you have Fortnite and tune in at the right time

Ariana Grande's announcement of her arrival to Fortnite, immediately took the Internet by surprise. Those who have been playing the extremely popular battle royale game, not only will have the opportunity to choose Grande's looks for their avatars, but also they'll be able to enjoy for free the event in which Ariana is the star.

The whole ordeal is titled “Fortnite Rift Tour,” and it will take place between August 6 and 8. Those in attendance will be able to enjoy the whole thing without spending a penny, the only requirement, if you will, is that you need a copy of Fortnite Battle Royale installed on any of the platforms the game is available on. The Fortnite creator, Epic Games, stated “Take a musical journey into magical new realities where Fortnite and Ariana Grande collide.”

How To Watch The Online Ariana Grande Concert In Fortnite

The game has set a schedule of five different showings, so you can decide when you want to attend with your friends. According to Epic Games, it is strongly recommended for players to arrive in Fortnite around 60 minutes before the showtime. Also, 30 minutes before each show, attendees will have the opportunity to take a glance at the playlist.

All the events for the Rift Tour -with their respective time and date- are as follow:

Show 1 – Friday, August 6 – 6pm NYC

Show 2 – Saturday, August 7 – 2pm NYC

Show 3 – Sunday August 8 – 12am ET

Show 4 – Sunday, August 8 – 10am NYC

Show 5 – Sunday, August 8 – 6pm NYC

This is not the first artist that has previously performed a virtual tour. Travis Scott also did so, while Diplo hosted a live Major Lazer concert. On the other hand, several artists aknowlegde the relevance of being linked to an extremely popular videogame such as Fortnite, which has become an icon title among gamers for years. Such artists as Steve Aoki, J Balvin, Dillon Francis, BTS and Deadmau5, have released or contributed with some kind of content to the platform.

When it comes to deals with artists distributing or participating in Fortnite's event, Epic Games does keep it very private regarding the details of these arrangements. However, some experts estimate that Ariana Grande could end up making up to $20 million with this virtual tour. This is the same estimated gross made by Travis Scott for a very similar endeavor.

However, considering her number of followers, and the relevance of an artist like Ariana Grande, who has higher album sales, some have guessed that this could be a different kind of deal. In fact, it is expected for her to receive some kind of payout from Epic Games just for being involved with the videogame. Not only that, the tour will certainly make it for a very powerful marketing stunt, and it will spike sales in Ariana's music as well as in real world merch.
