It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow supports all of her exes, no matter what! The American actress showed her support with a short comment but that was enough to let the world know that she stans for him and his beau.
Recently we have seen Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck at the Venice Film Festival quite glamorous and sharing some subtle PDAs. She looked gorgeous in a white long gown while he looked dapper in a classic tuxedo. While fans totally root for them in any form, it looks like Gwyneth Paltrow has joined the fanbase and is supporting them.
Stylist Mariel Haeen shared the picture of Bennifer on IG walking down the red carpet in Venice and Gwyneth simply commented “Okay, this is cute,” The comment was captured by @commentsbycelebs who called the social media moment “straight serotonin.” Several fans praised the actress for her comment. "Girl!! You are the coolest for your comment!!!" wrote one Instagram user while another added, “move on game is unmatched."
This marks the first occasion since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez walk on the red carpet since the 2003 premiere of Daredevil but also will mark the first time Paltrow comment about this. Paltrow and Affleck dated from 1997 to 2000, and during the course of their relationship, the couple starred together in Shakespeare in Love and Bounce. After they split, Ben began dating Jen.
The last time Gwyneth Paltrow spoke about Ben Affleck was back in 2015 when she reflected on their romance while visiting The Howard Stern Show, and strangely enough, the actress revealed that her parents did not approve of him. "He's super intelligent and really, really talented and he's funny," she said. "But he wasn't in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend." She added that two still remain pals today, "I like him. I'm still friends with him."
Affleck and Lopez originally began dating in July 2002 after meeting on the set of their movie Gigli. They got engaged that November before postponing their September 2003 wedding just days before the original date and ultimately called off their engagement in January 2004. On the other hand, Gwyneth Paltrow married Chris Martin but later divorced. She is still friends with Martin so it is no wonder why Gwyneth has now chimed in on this conversation.
Now, can we add that Gwyneth Paltrow is not the only one living these two? Kim Kardashian also gave the couple high praise on social media by posting a pic of them posing together at the festival on her Instagram story. “Long Live Bennifer,” she wrote over the photo, adding a red heart emoji. Jennifer Lawrence said "I'm so excited. I'm so happy for them" and Matt Damon joked that “There’s not enough liquor in the world for you to get me to say something about that.”
