Britney Spears decided to abandon Instagram abruptly. And while most fans were in shock after no long being able to get her daily basis reports of her life, in the form of stories or reels, Page Six was able to get in touch with a source that came out to tell fans that they should not be worried, because deleting the account was totally a Britney's decision.
As per what the insider revealed, by doing so, the newly engaged singer is sending a powerful message amid her conservator battle. Lately, Britney has seen more major wins in it, ever since her estranged father Jamie Spears agreed to step down from his position as conservator and asked a judge to terminate the conservatorship altogether.
It seems things are finally looking up for Britney, so the source went on to explain why the singer decided to delete her Instagram account, in the first place: “She's happy and in a great place, and silence can be a powerful thing and a powerful message.” Of course, at this point those supporting the #FreeBritney movement are skeptical of who is behind the 'Toxic' singer's account. They even have built theories around the idea of her sending cryptic messages in her posts; however, the insider made it very clear by saying that “this was her decision.”
According to the source, the 39-year-old supposedly just wante to take some time offline “in light of the successful path that she's been on and continues to be on [following] the news of [her engagement]” to Sam Asghari. This information, by the way, was also confirmed by her new attorney, Mathew Rosengart.
Perhaps what prompted the Princess of Pop to relinquish her continuous sharing on social media, was the prenup chatter that sparked online, as soon as it was made public that Asghari proposed to Britney. After all, she's had a rough time when it comes to couples in the past. Ultimately, this conversation got to her, and Britney Spears sent a tweet to reassure all her fans and followers, and wrote: “Don't worry folks... just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement??????? !!!! I'll be back soon ???????”
Aside from congratulating the pop star, several fans and followers went on to express their feelings about the engagement, and gave some advice to the singer by telling her to ask Asghari for a prenup arrangement, before she decides to jump into marriage. Of course, these messages made short circuit, as they got to her amid her ecstatic feelings following the proposal.
This makes total sense, tbh; especially knowing how sometimes social media feels like a third wheel. After all, Britney Spears wouldn't be the first or the last celebrity to take a social media break. In fact, people do this “all the time,” and it's not viewed as a negative thing. On the contrary, it is a way to regain mindful peace, since social media can become overwhelming at some point.
