Singer Lizzo has been on the grill for the last weeks, after her “drunken messages” with no less than a superhero who focuses his efforts in doing the right thing as Captain America, Chris Evans. However, on Sunday, she shamelessly decided to reveal even more messages from her now-viral private convo with the actor.
As per asked by one of her fans, Lizzo decided to upload a video on TikTok, responding for the requested update from her fan. The clip shows Lizzo quickly flashing a screenshot of her Instagram conversation with Evans, before coming at her fans by saying “So, I see what your pause game is lke, motherf----s,” with a laugh.
The Grammy winner shared the screenshot in which we can see her reply to Chris' previous message; in it, the actor assured Lizzo there was “no shame in a drunk DM”, jokingly stating that he has “done worse on” Instagram. “Well... they say you miss 100% of the shots you never take, (and even tho I unsent it like a dork), I'm glad you know I exist now,” said Lizzo in reply for Evans.
The 'Captain America' actor replied gentelmanly by saying “Of course I do! I'm a fan! Keep up the great work! xxx.” According to the screenshot, there were more messages exchanged between both celebs, but Lizzo didn't share the rest of her convo with Chris. However, the screenshot showed a glimpse at another message in which Evans appeared to be enjoying what Lizzo had to say.
Lizzo's conversation not only has sparked a riot among fans, with all of them dying to know more details about the exchange and the aftermath. It all began earlier this month, when the singer made the revelation that she had a drunken exchange of DMs on Instagram with Chris Evans. To do this, Lizzo lipsynced to an audio from Tatayanna Mitchell, a popular content creator for TikTok.
In it, she appears to be reciting the words “The reason I'm upset about this one is because I'm not gonna be able to marry him. And honestly, it hurts me to the core. Because, damn papa, he a rare breed, no comparing. Like, Chris...” Immediately after, Lizzo went on to show a screenshot of her first message to Chris, which consisted of three emojis: “a gust-of-wind, a woman playing basketball, and a basketball, which many interpreted as Lizzo shooting her first shot.
The video in which she decided to confess all, was captioned “Don't drink and DM, kids... for legal porpoises this is a joke.” A day later, Lizzo decided to share another video on TikTok, which revealed how Chris replied to her DM, which in turn brought a hilarious response from the “Defending Jacob” singer. Of course, Chris didn't necessarily take this too seriously, as he went on to joke about his mishaps on the app before, particularly when he accidentally shared a nude in September 2020, when he said “god knows I've done worse”.
